Wow, but guess its not a total surprise considering the dollar... I'd hope for pre-order people's sake that cars on the ground here already will not be effected, but you never know.

Welp, based on Autoblog mention price hike will not effect people who placed orders before today

The dollar is at an 8-month high versus the yen.

It's not the dollar...its cost of manufacturing raising across the board.

Now that oil tanked nearly 33% over about a month, the parity in exchange rates is adjusting.

We aren't kicking *** overall, but for the last few months we've held our own and gained significant territory now that investments are pulling out of oil and commodities and back to currencies, especially the dollar.

The dollar is making it's way back, but shipping, steel, etc... All still nice and expensive.

That said, is anyone paying MSRP for these anyways? The one at my buddy's dealership has a 10K premium on it.

Yes, some people actually did find dealerships who sold them pre-orders at MSRP - the good ones are out there
