Possible to get a GT-R at Sticker?
I just got the call today that my GTR is in. It is a Gunmetal Premium GTR with the Summer Package, IPOD, and mats. I am supposed to pick it up this Friday or Saturday in Harrisburg, PA. However, I bought an e46 M3 in the meantime so I won't be able to drive the GTR as often as I like. I am willing to sell it for $18K over MSRP or the best offer. So far it only has 21 factory inspection miles.
hey man, that is some great deal, i'll pay you 40k over! call me my cell is 911-kill-gtr
No worries. I am not GT-R-hater. I like them and will own one after the initial markups are done and it gets back to business. I do not pay over MSRP or even MSRP for anything at the moment.
I respect the fact you are looking for the right buyer and want to make a profit. I just said in post(deleted it accidently when I went to modify it and got distracted) that I would just say you want xxx over and thats it. No excuses as you are only doing what so many other people are doing.
Many people here want to know you have the car and not selling a spot. If you have the car in possession then say you want this amount. If someone says thats too much then tell them it's not their car then. Thats all.
Good luck. I like the color.

Good point, and truth be told it should just be posted to the sale section in that event.
There's some here in CA on avg for $20k over. There are still some dealers that'll sell them for $10-15k. These are GTRs sitting on the floor.
The ones you pre-order have less mark up, but you're looking at winter 08 or sometime 09 delivery.

Dont forget any car ordered now will have the additional markup of 7000-8000 from Nissans price increase. Then I also bet 2010's will have a markup from the 2009 mid year mark up!!!! How much is anyones guess but i say 3%-4%
So either way you cut it unless you get a car at old-MSRP or anywhere near 5k markup you are getting a good price on the GTR. I think now that Nissan has marked it up on remaining 2009's people are going to include that into their pricing new or used. Getting a GTR now at MSRP or anywhere between to 10k higher is looking better and better as we get closer to the mid year Markup Cars hitting the market.
PreOrder Markup deadline was Sept 5th 2008 so any orders after that are supposed to be new/higher MSRP

Just Wait
I would Just wait 8 to 12 months .You get what you pay for no doubt. before I pay a premium from some over sticker Parasite!! GOUGER !! I would at least BE SMART!!!wait 6 months to 1 year .Perhaps this car will be Under sticker like the Corvette by then .. The only car worth Paying OVER sticker right now is an AUDI R-8 .As a long time porsche Owner I could really care less about any Zero to Sixties or Nuremberg Lap times that have recently blemished Nissans Reputation for Cheating using cut tires and a tweaked turbo. WHO CARES!!! Its about owner ship .If all you want is a fast car to BRAG about to your friends the the CORVETTE is hands down the best car for the money.BUT any one that pays OVER sticker for this car will soon Regret it.Sticker and Sticker Price for now Is fair.Especially for a car that has YET to be proven in Quality ..You buy a Porsche to Own a Porsche not because Its Fastest car in the neighborhood. Dont be stupid

You are so correct it hurts. Be careful though some may say you are a GTR hater.
The problem with GTRs is the "flippers." While those on the waitlist got one for MSRP, some of them see the premiums, and sell the back to other dealers for a premium (usually around 90K). There is a car dealer near my house that has a GTR with 47 miles on it for 125K. They bought it for 90K. Authorized GTR dealers in my area (there is only 1) sell at MSRP, but don't have any in stock.
