Safest tune for hot climate
Safest tune for hot climate
Hi all,
My friend wants to tune his Gtr 35. He is not looking for the best power gains but is more focused on safety. He lives in Dubai so it can get up to 50 degrees celcius and the humidity is just awful in summer so he wants a very reliable tune. Which tune would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

I'd just start with the canned Cobb Stage 1 v2. It doesn't change a lot, and is quite conservative.
After he changes the mid-pipe, I'd switch to Stage 2, and then if that isn't enough - I'd contact either Surgeline directly, or any one of the vendors here for a remote tune (which may take a while to safely complete). A remote tune may consist of a baseline tune, some easy datalogging, and then it goes up from there.

I can definitely help him out. Especially if he wants to send me a few datalogs. Conservative tuning and motor longevity is one of our specialties!
