Supposedly Stoptech has released full set of pads and rotors for OE replacement under $1k.

So $1k for parts, $500-700 for install. Not bad at all.

^^^ install on the brakes (cough, cough) $$$

If someone has the space to do it and DIY and get some really good top quality brake fluid that exceeds factory spec.

I had a tuned 996TT and then a Gallardo. After that I had a highly modified E55. Really looking forward to getting back into a twin turbo. I should have the car by next weekend hopefully.

I will keep you guys posted.

No problem. I also have a AAM resonated midpipe too for sale if your interested.

You are going to love the GT-R. I too came out of a 996 turbo. Both are fast, just so different in execution.

Also maintenance on a GT-R is really no more than a Porsche. Cars at these high levels of performance always have there pricey areas of ownership. like you said, "Gottal pay to play"
