Ignorance.

860 whp on stock block is good enough for everyone i guess, DR jitsu has an 800 whp GTR on stock block.

It's ironic the car was tuned by a Porsche tuning group Sportec. Either they should stop tuning or do a better job.

Switzer does tune both cars you dont see them blow up.

Sure a few dyno pulls at 800whp. Lets see how long it lasts or what kind of abuse he puts to it. Oh yeah those gtr's transmissions cant' seem to shift right at 800whp or more. Just looking at the internals every engine builder i've heard from says they are crap. They come with cast pistons on top of that.

Not a few dyno pulls, ask drjitsu he runs it at 800whp. Here in uae there are 3 GTRs i personally know running 750whp plus.

Even 2jz came with cast pistons. Go look yourself. Many more running in US using Switzer 800 and AMS 850 packages. Keep your mind open.

Nagtroc is actually a good source. Alot of bull**** spreads around.

Find me a porsche pdk that will run 800whp. GR6 runs properly around 700whp. Then the clutch slippage starts. Everything on the internet isnt true.

Wanna single out GTR sure go ahead.

Not saying some GTRs havent broken down on 550whp. They usually broke down Due to bad tunes (serious knocking).

Good day Sir.

I hope the gtr's are strong. I heard from another forum that this gtr has the transmission go instead of the engine. Not sure if i buy it due to the smoke.

800whp (~900 - 1000bhp) is weak for a stock block.

I did too, but that much smoke from a tranny is BS. The tranny doesnt explode!

+1 True... BUT... We weren't there (listening to the engine and not seeing the shifting afterwards). I don't know enough to claim BS on any other poster without first getting all of the facts. I can only go off of what the owner knows first hand (unless this was my area of expertise - like the person who told me his LC was disabled).

They might be using the tranny excuse to cover up for a bad tune or something so that Sportec doesn't recieve bad publicity? A bad tune can cause the strongest motor to bust. It might last a few days or a year but eventually something will go. That's why we were blessed with the datalogging feature on our Cobb Accessports.

^ Entirely possible as well. I hope we can learn something about this... But I think the GT-R tuning community is starting to revolve around the same few tuners. I know, in North America, I could list the shops I would trust my car with on one hand.

Exactly. Even some of the "good" tuners that are recommended on the forums have some horror stories ranging from crap performance to blown motors. You have to be very selective.

i dont get all the hate on the car .some of the comments from people sound just straight up dumb ! ignorant .

on the video , you dont know what happen you have clowns that think they can tune and boom they blow the motor up , same thing can happen and has happened to prosche 's supras etc etc when you start modifiying all about the tune

my boy neil switzer of at spi build fast and reliable gtr's , straight monsters !!!!no issues there ...
