Alpha 9 is a little bit more powerful and more focused on someone who is going to do a transmission and possible motor build in the future. P800 is for a bone stock trans/motor and is very safe, even for the stock transmission. They are both great kits with proven reliability.

+1

Switzer also makes a more powerful version R/E900 (stock turbo housings, as is the Alpha 9 and P800) which requires a built motor and recommended transmission upgrades. It is a more direct comparison with the Alpha 9.

The P800 is a tough value to beat and has more proven reliability than any other kit out there on stock components.
