Motor Trend comparison test: 2012 Porsche Turbo S vs 2013 GT-R
That's just how they do it here. Strange, I know...but the 2013, available now, is definitely the new car (with 545 HP and CF wing). There's one at my local dealership.
Divexxtreme : What's the "Ultimate Street Edition"? How long does it take to build? How many people are in line for this build? Thanks Divexxtreme.

I got 8 text messages from Paulie Walnuts telling me how ugly GT-Rs are

He finally got his GT2 almost (the operative word is almost) as fast as mine, and now he is worried about me getting something even faster

I've had MY13 for 2 months now... I guess we get the 13 model early in the US.

It's a 93 octane only package built to provide maximum power and drivability, along with quietness, reliability, and civilness. It keeps torque under 750 to the wheels, so you don't have to use a 'loud' Promax clutch and billet gears.
I think the timeframe is less than 90 days for the build from start to completion. Last I heard there were 6 or 7 Ultimate builds on the way, with 3 already delivered to owners. Mine was the first. It's only package of it's kind currently available for the GT-R.
Everyone has a preference and I don't get why others try to push theres onto someone else. the gt-r is a great car, no question about it, i have driven a couple, have a pal or 2 that have them. however, I'm a 911 guy and no way in hell would i own a gt-r in its place. i could give a rats *** that the gt-r is a little faster and less money, the 911 has been an evolution since it 1st hit the market and will be till it leaves.

You are entitled to your opinion. I can agree with that

"Earlier this month we reported on accusations hurled by Porsche towards Nissan, accusing the Japanese carmaker of falsifying the blistering Nurburgring lap time of 7m 29s recorded for the GT-R back in May"
And of course my favorite quote from the article "Nissan stated that they were at a loss as to why Porsche was unable to replicate the GT-R's blistering time around the Nurburgring, putting it down to differences between the drivers."

Since the highest proven dyno your car ever got was 599whp (this was done at a TX2K event) the 800whp # has and will always be a # you made up.
excuse me for the hi-jack OP....
Based on the 1 sub 6sec 60-130(5.79 in 30* temp. everytime after >6sec) I don't think you were over 660 whp max.

Ben Moore did a similar 60-130 with about 650whp.
Just let me know when you are ready to purchase a GTR & I will help you get a good deal on one. Just wait we both know Peter will have his for sale in a few weeks.
Excuse me for the hi-jack OP.

I think you're right, it's just a naming thing. There's no way Nissan or any other car maker on earth would release a different model in USA a year earlier than everywhere else!
Well since you traded off your GT2 we will never find out (Sean traded for a Smoothie shop).

Correct, my car did in fact dyno at 660 several years ago and yes, that was when I ran a 5.79. Since then, I have upgraded the fuel system, Intercoolers, went to a full blow through system, upgraded TB, plenum, full 3 inch BBI exhaust, etc. I probably left some things out since I am only half way through my morning coffee cup. I could have gone out and run another 60-130, but by the time everything was done, I was more into my Home Theater system than my car.
Back when I ran and beat Erics GT2, and that was before I swapped out my Europipe exhaust, upgraded my fuel system, TB, plenum, ICs, Erics car was making 755, ran a 5.55, and did 206 at the Tx Mile. My car is much faster now then then.
I will see if Omar (who now has my car, and was scared ****less when I took him for a ride at 1.4 bars...running a mix of pump and 104) will agree to a roll on against you. See if someone is willing to ride in your car and film.
Your car, I think you said, dynoed at 780, yes? But what you don't realize is that w/ out the blow through, TB, and plenum upgrades, your power band is much smaller than mine....or should I say Omar. My car makes good power at 3800 rpms.
OK, sorry for the Thread jack.
You're funny, Paulie.

The blow through does not seem to be as important as you think it is. My car dynoed higher than Bens car( which had a blow through). Everthing else was the same.

That was when Eric ran full boost he ran a 5.55. Both Jamie & Eric said when they raced you the boost was turned down. Funny how you left that piece of info out.
I believe you upgraded your fuel system in Arkansas many years prior to racing Eric's car.

The poor guy was scared because the way you drive.

No my car did not dyno 780.I figured if you could guess at your HP why not guess at mine.

Sean I think the Hyundai section is where you need to post.

Puuuleaaas. "we had the boost turned down" are you serious? Was "the check in the mail." did "the dog eat my homework"? Was the rent late because our illegal roommate skipped out on us?"
Did a hottie say "I cannot go out with you tonight because I need to start spending more time with my blender?"

There is an AMS built motor GT-R for sale over at NAGTROC. $95K. It puts down 805 awhp...I would think, however that a built motor car should do more.
I would post a link but this forum will censor it.
