What about a 2012 GT-R Black Edition fully protected with Satin Guard paint protection film by Prestige Film Technologies?

Tom
There are so many small improvements, they really do equal more than the price difference of the 11 (CBA) vs 12 (DBA).
And it would cost a little bit more (in my opinion) to get the performance of the DBA into the CBA chassis. Obviously, this does not matter in straight line as much, but rather in overall feel or track use.
There is a lot more to be said about the 12 over the 11 (minus the ~40HP increase, and how it got there).
If you could put a dollar value on it, on much better is a DBA versus a CBA?
BUT - between the ride comfort (able to be modded for those that care), chassis stiffness and balance (not relevant if not on track), bigger brakes (again..., irrelevant if not pushed), more comfortable seats (opinions vary here), slightly improved interior materials (preference), power (able to be modded), cooling (can be improved through $5k+ of aftemarket cooling solutions), exterior appearance (can be updated for about $10k, front and rear), and transmission improvements (can be made better for about $8k plus TCM reprogram), it is an overall better car that comes with all of this to start with.
Can anyone confirm if Nissan revised the steering mechanism/feel for the 2012+ models? I thought I read that they re-tuned the steering and made it a bit less numb compared to the 2009-2011 models. Any truth to this? Thanks!
Yes. More feedback. Also 2012's also benefit from better balance, less understeer, stiffer chassis with yet a softer ride, etc... A lot of little improvements that make a better all-around car.
Thanks jaspergtr. I'm thrilled that Nissan continues to develop and fine-tune the GTR for our collective benefit. One possibly unintended side effect is that they seem to also be helping to preserve the values of used examples on the market!
Yes, the newest car you feel comfortable spending the money on is good advice.
