Correct, and also take into consideration there will always be GT-R nutriders and Porsche nutriders. You really can't stop either side . . . . .

It's all a matter of taste basically.

For all the GTR nutriders: Here's a cool Japanese video of the GTR testing at Nurburgring....it has a lot more footage than any other video I have seen to date.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmyYqO5jtFs

What's cool is that they do split screen comparing the GTR to the 997 TT. There's LOTS of comparisons to the Porsche turbo --> wonder what their benchmark is??

They even show some old footage of a GTR mule with G35 bodywork.

Check out the footage of the car going down the straight at 6:05 in the video! That's craaazy fast! Good thing it comes with massive Brembos.

Since the 997TT is $200K+ here in Canada, there is no way in hell I'm paying a 40K markup over what you guys pay in the States..... I'm definitely interested in this car.

If this car comes in at 50k or so (which it should) it will be a huge hit, Porsche Performance (about even, no faster IMO), at nissan prices would be awesome, at 70k it gets OWNED by Corvettes and Vipers and even used Porsches, hell there is even a 600 hp mustang GT500KR coming out this year and that is a lot of competition. Although Nissan is very smart for going after the more afluent JDM fans who just refuse to buy American Muscle. I like the idea of this car but still dont think it will be faster than the 997 turbo but really close to even.

heavychevy stated it well. For 50 or so, it will be a success. But if it is 70 or so, I think they are reaching for a market that won't be there.

Some of you guys who've never even driven a GTR let alone been in one or seen one in the flesh should probably wait until it drops before making huge claims that it'll be slow, won't keep up with this or that etc.

When the R32 was released in '89 it ran sub 13 second 1/4 miles, stock and wiped the floor with everything when it went racing. If the donk is anything like the RB26 expect huge aftermarket potential as well.
