It's only $5.29/gal on Woodside Rd.

Yep I had a feeling $6.69 was a little steep but it is a lot closer to me than any other place.

But I would like to see a map created of where these stations are so that when on the road and need a little extra I can stop off at the local 100 octane station.

Anyone have an idea how to create such a map that is online, I am willing to spend the time to indicate the station locations.

I've found it depends on the car and the compression ratio of the engine. It make a bigger difference in my S2000 with it's 11.5:1 compression ratio.

I have had less of a benefit in my 996.

I can't remember the name of the Speed Shop on Lincoln Ave. (right off San Carlos) in San Jose, but they sell an assortment of high octane fuels. The trouble is it is in cans.

Also the station at Infineron has high octane fuels.

There's a shop in South San Francisco, on El Camino called Gotelli's Speed Shop that does the same.

they do?!?!? THANK YOU for solving my range problem... with the list above, and Gotelli's, i should be able to drive throughout the Bay Area without worrying about putting it into 91 mode.

Speed Merchant. Fairly hardcore muscle car shop. Last I checked they were selling Trick brand leaded and unleaded in 5 gal. cans. 114 leaded and 104 unleaded i believe? Been a while since I've used their stuff.

Chuck, you ever order a case of the non-toluene based octane booster that was talked about awhile back? I don't remember the name of it, but it used some different type of technology to raise octane with dissolved metals or something. Remember this? Or am I confused.
