I had an incredible buying experience with Peter Pan BMW- in and out in less than 90 minutes. I went through the fleet manager, George Allen. It was the most low pressure, no bull**** sales experience I've had, and the first time somebody at a BMW dealership gave me the time of day.
I have had tons of experience with service departments at various dealerships after countless blown trannies and engines in previous cars (what can I say, I rape my cars). My service advisor, John Eggeling has also made sure my car has come out as it's come in. My car is heavily modified and I've never had issues with warranty coverage there. I have the same SA at Peter Pan and my 06 ZCP M3 is also modified. John rocks! |
was just looking for this thread...shocked to find it buried away in the norcal section. This is a useful thread that should be stickied if possible. Anyway... BUMP! :D

Steven Creek BMW is the worst. i brought my X5 in for my brake light out and my signal light blinking too fast. I thought it was covered thru extended maintenance warranty but they said it didn't cover. They told me i had to replace the motor for signal ($300) and all back light sockets for another $300. i refused to let them replace and they wanted to charge $150 for diagnostic. I picked up the light bulk at local shop for $6 and it worked perfectly.
Not only that, they put me on the list that when i called in, i have to talk to the adviser before an appt. interesting thing, i never got a call from BMW for the survey. now i take my X5 and M3 to fremont and they've done a fantastic job on my BMW. |
Just realized I have to take both my bmw 550 and my audi Q7 in for service. I live in Redwood City and reading all these threads it looks like there isn't anyone to go to that's any good???
Should I go to peter pan in san mateo or Mountain View for the bmw? If either, which service advisor? For the audi, it looks like palo alto carlsen is closest, any service advisor in particular? |
+1 for Stead. Great Service manager Eric.

Service: Manny and Anthony due great work. |
I just wanted to add another vote of confidence in Porsche of Stevens Creek, and especially Vinnie Milazzo. On our way to Concorso, my friend and I, who are both considering 911s for ourselves, got to the dealership about 10 minutes before closing (we'd gotten there from Sac as fast as we could after work), and Vinnie was, despite being halfway out the door, more than generous with his time. Lunch bag in hand, and probably anxious to go home, he took the time to show us various models on the lot, and invited us to come back to test out models another time. He even took us inside after closing to take our names and information, so he could let us know if what we were each looking for came to his dealership.
Sunday morning, now starting to head home, we found ourselves back on his doorstep as the dealership opened, and after my friend test drove one car, I tried out another. Vinnie showed such patience with us, while we found no patience behind the steering wheels. Both my friend and I gave the cars a good testing, to figure out if the 911 is for us, and I can't recommend going to Stevens Creek enough. Even if Vinnie hadn't been the kindest salesman I'd ever dealt with, their inventory alone would have been worth the trip. Thanks again, Vinnie, and the folks at your place. We'll be back. Orrie |
