Accident on Skyline, Sunday 3/10

Anyone aware and are they okay?

This afternoon we were across from Alice's on Skyline and my friend was informed of a multi-vehicle accident supposedly involving a Ferrari, 2 Mustangs & a Challenger.

I walked by a group with a woman holding a Go-Pro showing fellow riders a video and remarking, "This is when the Ferrari driver hit his head on the window."

I don't have any other details, and hope no one was seriously hurt, but it's even scarier for riders. It's supposed to be safer place to ride, but being taken out by a fellow enthusiast losing control of their vehicle would not be good.

Yeah hope no one was hurt. I'll take some cars up there occasionally and I notice its just too hard to drive really fast. Between the bikers, loose debris, cops, and horrendous drivers trying to act like Mario Andretti, I just slow down and take in the scenery.

When I drove the route last fall, I came across a car sitting perfectly on its roof with two guys standing around scratching their heads. I couldn't figure out how they ended up like that (and it looks like they had no idea either ).

I came from hwy92 and got stopped by the road block.
Spoke to the officer.

I asked was the decorating of the hwy mechanical or body parts.

He said just some litter.

I'm guessing just mechanical parts.

Safe place to drive..............no way is it safe.

I ve been hitting it up recently spending few hours up back 9 and 35.

You have. No control of anyone or anything coming into your lane.

Be it car, moto, deer, derby, cyclists.

It's a great pass time for Bay Area.

Just hope for best each time I go out.

It's just beautiful. Place to drive.

But def my regards to whoever involved.

Scary **** when it happens.

i dont see how skyline would be unsafe. worst case, you crash and walk away. it's no different than most backroads.

lol uh worst case, you crash and die...

I actually just stumbled on this fantastic little drive on saturday (then I made an unfortunate turn onto a tiny terribly maintained road that pops out in la honda). Anyway, sucks for those involved in the crash hope they're okay.

Gots da info

After spending long hours on google...............

I have some info brothers.
It was a challenger, box mustang, and f355 Ferrari.

Reports it was a head on with Ferrari and challenger.

Look at pics and decide for yourself who's fault.

Old playing chicken. Got its head cut off.

I can my self it is. Great beginners road. I'll say that in touge driving a terms.

After years of being out of a sports car. It's has been good for to get the rust out of my heel and toe.

But it's not the road. "Djantlive"

It's how much percentage hard your going.

Are you going 50 % 75%. Or trying to go 80% like as if you we're at the freakin track.

Now I'm not calling names or accusing I'm just saying in general..

But when a driver enter these realms of higher percentage. Def fatal events can happen.

Or you could just be minding your biz and get headed on by another car. For no freakin reason.

I used to organize large group drives back 2006 to 2008
40 to 60 cars. Doing all famous roads in nor cal.

But after fatal accident related to santana row drives and non fatal accidents on my drives.
I called it quits on organizing drives.
Rest in peace
That carbon Porsche was bad *** and loud as hell.

i hear u abt the large group drive and pushing too much. this is why i prefer to drive w ppl i know these days. less unknown.

however, i dont feel skyline is a dangerous road if you don't triple speed limit. at least it is no more dangerous than mines road, for example. elevation and cliffs at mines road can be deadly.

agree also that driver attitude is more of a factor than the road itself. i used to drive 80-100%. these days, it's 50-60%. much more toned down. live and learn i think

Yes I agree driving with a group that you know and how they move.

Is cool and lots of fun.

Lately I've been gaining weight from eating at Alice's.

I hit 9 cuz it's close.

I do love hwy 25 heading to king city and then to Harris ranch.

That's a great road.

But I would like to drive muholland in Malibu next time I go to SoCal

I believe that is a 360, not a 355 in the pic.
