Word.
Joe, thats a sick idea, and if you would like to just pay for the mechanicals and engineering to make it happen, I will do it!

No I was being serious. I'll send you some pics of the one we built at my friends house. They just ripped it out last week because a 19yo girl got **** drunk and used the pole to its full potential. I know all of us don't see a problem with it, but my three friends who rent the house are rookie cops and well if that got out they would be in some deep ****. better safe then sorry I guess in their case.

i finished mine out just like the inside but i put n epoxy on the floor. It has a decorative pattern and is garanteed for 5 years. I put three big storage rooms so when you drive into the garage there is nothing showing, so it a very clean look. i live in texas so there is no reason for heating. Also i put a commercial carwash pump in that is in one of the storage closets and plumbed out to the driveway so all i do is hit a switch and i have all the pressure i need.

The floors look great. Do you have any info on it. And, could you tell me what the cost per sq ft was on it? Thanks

I love these threads. If your interested I could put together a basic 3D model of your garage in AutoCAD based on your plans. No, I dont want any money for it lol
I'm an Architectural cadd drafter/designer and I've actually been playing with some pretty cool garage designs, so I could use some more practice. Let me know if your interested.

I really appreciate the offer, but I am actually in the field as well. I do most of my drafting by hand, but my assistant will probably do the CAD drawings. If you would like to for practice, I would be glad to FED EX you a set.

PM me.

Polished concrete would be insane. Black would tend to go with my cars pretty well, too. And, with the amount of lighting I am doing, it might work.

This might be over the top, but...
  • Utility sinks - useful for many reasons; soaking various parts, wringing out shammies, etc.
  • Washer/dryer - seems crazy, but could be great for detailing cloths, towels, rags etc.
Those items might be helpful should you plan on doing a lot of washing and detailing.

100% stripper pole. Already did my research at Risque a few weeks ago questioning the "employees" as to the pros and cons of brass poles vs lighted lucite ones. Even got a website called platinumstages.com to buy it from! We are going brass - plated in chrome with a black stage. I don't F around boys!
