Help Sandy get a new car
Help Sandy get a new car
OK, so she's an indecisive little one so I thought why not get some additional imput on the matter. From the choices, what car do you think she should get? Feel free to add pros/cons or make other suggestions. She's looking to lease, 36 months 15K/year and keep payments in the $500 range.
I think the Audi would be the best choice too, but the A3 has no support from Audi so the payments were over $600/month. I told her to wait till the new A4 comes out. She also drove an IS250 which was nice, but very boring and very sluggish. There's a 328xi coupe at Devon Hill I want her to check out too.
I would say R32 all the way, it is an amazing all around car, although a little low on the MPG, but that can easily be changed by being light on the throttle. Out of that list it is by far the most fun to drive, I also have a 328i coupe and the engine is nowhere near as much fun or the transmission, but the BMW does look much better. The AWD on the R32 is truly amazing, when driving in snow it drives better than some of my SUVs. The brakes are I believe the same as the S4 and the car is a little lighter than the Audi's making for better braking. Plus one thing I love is the fact that it is a specialty car, so it's kind of fun driving around because some people have no idea what an R32 is and others that do give you thumbs up, they wave or whatnot, and it's fun when other VW's drive by and wave. No regrets on getting that car whatsoever. And keep in mind I also considered the A4 (too standard for me), A3 (wasn't a fan of the looks), 128i (not fast enough, no real aftermarket parts for it), and I already had the 328 (better looking, more features, more luxury, but less fun to drive)
Hope that helps you

I keep trying to "steer" her into the R32, but she's not 100% on board. We went on a terrible test drive so she was kinda soured on it. I think if we took it out for an extended period she'd like it a lot more. She really likes the A3, but again no deals to be had. The new A4 comes out in Sept. and from the pics it looks really good but I don't think they'll be dealing off the bat. Right now, it's between the R32, the 328xi Coupe, and the Lexus (which is by far the cheapest). Thanks for the opinions and keep em' coming.

You have it all wrong there. I'd love for her to get something like the Evo, but she really does not like the way it looks at all. Too me, it'd be f'n awesome to see her driving a car like that.
