I understand guys, it's way too late to call the meet off and there are still a huge amount of people showing anyway, there's a few caravans coming from Virginia and New york already well on their way. Like I said, shoot on out after the rain stops which will be soon and have a good time. It's gonna get nice and there's still a lot of cars coming regardless

 

Looking at the updated radar and forecast- rain not forcast to stop until late afternoon.

 

Pouring harder than ever. It's a monsoon out there. 11:32 am.

 

What time does this event wind down? I may still head out, but I don't wanna go out there and it's over.

Can anyone give a report of the turnout when they there...or, if they get there?

A lot of the photogs were still there when I left about an hour or so ago. All the good pics will probably be up later today, I've only seen shoddy cell phone pics so far. I, or Chaos will definitely be sure to post them

 

I am floored at the amount of cars and people that showed up and endured the weather.... i can't wait til the pictures start getting posted.

Wasn't very impressed myself. I arrived about 1-ish (in my truck, it was still pouring when I left). Kept pouring when I was there. We got a sandwich in the DQ, but by 2pm , there were only a few cool cars left (at GT-R for one), but, it seemed there were an AWFUL lot of really beat Subies there. Driven hard and out away wet. I thing the foul weather kept a lot of people away.

 

It's a shame you didnt have a great time. I guess this falls under "you can't please everybody." I think you may be missing the idea of a meet this size... which is more than just the cars.. you attend to meet people and socialize, as well as check out cars. It sounds like you were just there expecting something crazy in the rain. Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet some day...

 

It sucks that it was raining. My Viper tires does not like the wet and cool ground. Bad combo with high hp and rear wheel drive. If I found somebody to roll up with me I would have gone.
