PA (philly) emissions
PA (philly) emissions
I'll be moving to Philly within a year and wanted to see what emissions PA has. I believe PA has annual emissions? I'll be taking the 911 but I'm not sure on the boxster. The boxster has 2ndary air pump code and cracked rear plastic. I've never lived in an emission required state (OR,MI,OH) so I have no clue whats required or done. I'm not sure if it matters but it'll be northwestern Philly suburb area.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yes, there is Emissions testing for the 8 counties surrounding Philly. I am also a liscensed ispector for the state.Cars 1996 and later get an OBDII testing. IE; state computer connects to the OBDII connector to your car and reads the emissions data. A check engine light is an automatic failure. There is a qualifier for an automatic exemption if you drive less an 5000 miles per year. But the first year all would get a full test. There is also a safety inspections required once the emissions is passed. I am liscened as well. Usally both are completed at the same time and station. the inspections are all perfomed by independent shops. Not having a good relationship with a shop may lead to unessasary repairs as there is aloy of GRAY area is the inspection process. If you need to discuss further just shoot me a PM or an email.i am sure other reputable 6speeders will chime in as well..regaurds DAVID
