New 996 Guy

Hey All,

I bought an egg-eye 99 996 late this summer before I moved from NorCal to Philly. Had a chance to really drive it today down to Cars and Coffee in West Chester, PA.

Have found a TON of very helpful things here and have a big list of parts waiting to go onto the car.

Thanks to everyone on the forum!!

I'll be using this for DE and other fun, fast driving.

Dave

I just installed a full fabspeed exhaust- headers, cat bypass, maxflow mufflers last week. Sounds awesome, not tuned yet.

Car has RSS engine mounts, IMS was done 10k ago. It's a California Car so swapping the exhaust was a piece of cake.

I also have new Recaro Profi SPG XL's in there.

Parts waiting to go on:
-Ohlins R&T
-rss pulley
-b&m short shift kit
-IPD plenum
-Evoms intake (not rec'd yet)
-gt3 spec adjustable front sway
-Fabspeed Dyno and ecu Tune

This winter:
Cantrall Motorsports rear cage
Harnesses
Gt3 control arms
18" wheels for trackdays
Rebuild stock brakes, etc.

My goal is a fun back roads ride and track day car. I'll prob even try Autocross. I have many years of track experience (moto and auto) but this is the first porsche and first rwd car and I've never driven an AutoX course despite attending some events.

Wow, This is a 99? Looks great. The egg eye head lights are homage to the 1996-1998 GT 1 cars. Enjoy your car, welcome aboard, and post up more pics soon. This has got to be one of the best early 996's out there. Cheers.
