I'm looking for a generous soul to lend me a set of known true / vibration-free wheel / tires for an hour or two to fit a 996 Turbo. Even just a front pair would be useful. I'm trying to diagnose a highway vibration. I've had my existing setup balanced, so before spending more money, I'd like to try out something known to work on another car.

did you end up finding the vibration in your front end? I am in leominster MA and am having a mystery front end vibration at speeds as well...

 

I did not. I ended up replacing the front tires. That changed things, but has not eliminated the problem. I am strongly suspecting a suspension issue, but it is not bad enough to make me spend any more money at this time. I'd happily get together with you if you want to swap wheel / tire sets to see if that changes anything for either of us?

I was thinking of taking mine to a local Porsche Indy to see if they have any thoughts.
