New car search help/advise/suggestions...

I'e been lurking this forum for a bit and feel there's a very educated and experienced group on here when it comes to different cars pros and cons...

I wasn't really sure where to put this but figured the locals would be a good start.

With that said, I'm searching for a new daily driver. Some background...

I own a 2007 Subaru STi that is fully paid off it makes 500awhp / 494wtq on a heartbreaker dyno... Good for about ~135mph trap speeds. So my need for *** kicking power is satisfied... For now...

I had a very long commute, about 350+ miles a week easy... So I've been suffering with... Err driving a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GT because the great gas mileage, reliability, etc...

My commute is now maybe 35+ miles a week... So I want something fun, enjoyable with a great powerband and handling right out the box... Looking to do minimal and basic mods only if at all...

Might autocross or take it to a few track days, but nothing serious or competitive...

Any tips, advise or suggestions, or leads to cars are appreciated...

03-04 C5 ZO6 Corvette
05+ C6 Corvette
05-06 Pontiac GTO 6.0l
05+ Honda S2000
99-00 Acura Integra Type R
02-03 Ford SVT "Terminator" Mustang
03+ BMW E46 M3

Cars that are def OFF my list due to price, reliability, or both are:

B5/B6/B7 Audi S4
Evolution 8/9/10
Acura NSX
Supra
BMW E92 M3
Mazda RX7

i would personally go for an e46 m3. its a very well rounded car for daily commuting. i had some dinan mods on my old m3 and it was a fun car to get around in. i also have a special place in my heart for hondas (have had both the integra and s2000). the s2000 is a blast to drive but lacks space and was just too small of a car for me (6'1). the itr is also another great car but would lack any real power in my opinion to make a fun daily.

I've had my C5Z06 for a month now and DD it. It is a blast to drive hard but not all that great for just cruising. I looked at a regular C6, the inteiror was nicer but it didn't have the raw feeling of being connected to the road like the C5Z06 did. Personally, my 04 GTO was a much better car with a touring feel. I REALLY MISS IT but refuse to pay that much for parts for them.

Termi's are cool, but way overpriced IMO.

I actually ended up going with a black 2003 ZO6. I got a great deal! Paid $23.5k for it with only 30.2k miles on it. It's in mint condition inside and out, garaged all it's life as a 2nd car.

It has the vararam ram air intake with carbon fiber inlet, ARH long tubes and 3" x-pipe, GHL Bullets exhaust, and a Vette Doctors tune... SS kit, bilstein shocks, longer bolts, tints.

I personally love the car as a DD. It's got that raw connection to the road as mentioned before, but I also find it to be a wonderful cruiser. I can crawl around a parking lot, as easy as I can lumber down the highway @ 1,800 rpms @ 65mph, and blast up an on ramp or around a couple of nice curvy backroads.

I think the ZO6 is a wonderful all around car. It's only flaw being how low the car is, but a minor headache for all the things it does so right!

I will say the CPO Porsche Cayman is a wonderful suggestion I wish someone had mentioned earlier. I never thought of that.
