Porsche Shop in New Jersey

So as a recent recipient of a 1999 Porsche 996 (911) Carrera that had some major mechanical issues I was in desperate search for a trustworthy mechanic in my area (sNJ) that would be able to resolve the issues for this vehicle and not "mechanically total" it. After making some phone calls, doing a ton of research online, and acknowledging that this vehicle is a prime candidate for the IMS bearing failure I knew that I had quite an expense to get this Porsche back on the road. I finally settled on having the car sent to a small independent Porsche (European car) repair facility in Medford, New Jersey that goes by the name of Brother to Brother which is also known as Polar Porsche. Dave and his son Yuri understood my concerns with the car as I had it delivered to them via flatbed tow truck and specifically requested that I go to their shop an hour or two after it's arrival so we can discuss what was necessary to get the car back on the road. I knew that the car needed a new transmission since the second synchro would grind every time the car was driven however I was more concerned about the IMS issue. Upon my arrival at the shop I was informed by Dave that the original Porsche engine that was installed in my 99 was replaced with a newer motor as the engine is a model year 2006. Dave was able to utilize his resources to get me a new 6-speed transmission and identify other issues with my Porsche that need to be fixed...below is a list of all of the work that was recently completed by Brother to Brother on my Porsche which was all done in less than two (2) weeks.

New 6-Speed Transmission
Clutch Kit
Sway Bars (all)
Oil and Oil Filter
Coil Packs (all)
Spark Plugs (all)
Front Brakes w/new Sensors
Air Filter
Trans Fluid
Rear Main Seal
Replacement Steering wheel
Cooling System Flush

Although this is quite a bit of work to be completed in a short period of time the car runs, drives, and operates in an amazing manner. The team at Brother to Brother / Polar Porsche worked well within the confines of my budget and was able to get this car back on the road. I would personally recommend anyone who is in need of a Indie Porsche mechanic to seek out Brother to Brother /Polar Porsche and have Dave and his son Yuri work on your European sports car. I can guarantee you there is a reason why they don't advertise and they are busy enough with work. However I know when I was desperately looking for a honest mechanic I wasn't able to get enough information on I figured that a positive post would assist those who are facing large repair bills and questioning what to do.
