OMG - ROFL - ain't that the frickin' stereotypical truth! Insert joke here about **** & diamond, or tighter than a camel's **** in a sandstorm etc. I've know lots of Punjabis in London, and they're ALL that way -- to a man. "Nothing wrong with that" ... well, depending on the local culture
I'm reminded of the classic scene in "Life of Brian":
"Whatsamatter, dontcha wanna haggle ??" LOL

No different than American's lining up the night before at Best Buy, Circuit City, insert your favorite store here, for day after Thanksgiving sales lol. Everything in WA is expensive compared to other parts of the country. I cannot believe the markup on cars here. You walk into a Honda dealer and they are asking an extra $3-4k for a Civic Si for "adjusted market value". Back in the midwest no one will take a civic or any car for anywhere close to sticker.
Tru dat, tru dat brother

So are we talking about Jews or Indians now?
You will never see me or my family lined up for shopping on the day after thanks giving. We have the family ping pong championship that day.
And even then, your comparison of the 2 isn't quite accurate. People are flocking to the stores and actively seeking the best deals and willing to pay retail for it. As opposed to you asking an employee to give you a deal.
Again, I was just really razzing you the other day, It was all in fun.

Seattle has some very unique markets. Real Estate and Auto Sales are 2 examples.
