Making an offer on a new DD, wish me luck
So, the Audi is gone, I managed to get most of the goodies off & sell them.
I've been looking for another 911, really there are no 996's in my price range that I bonded with, I did drive a R32 Golf, great car, 08 STI great car, not worth $45k!
Locally, I found a nice & very clean, 1995 993! I'll be making an offer on it tonight, I'm very excited!! It's stock, & pretty plain, not to many options.

Update, they called, there is another person who wants it. They asked what my offer was, they countered, then I said, sorry, if he doesn't get it let me know. It was about $2000 more then what I had wanted to spend. I still have not driven this car.
It looks like this one is now gone.....

It was great! I was totally surprised! Very torque, very smooth, very quiet, handled well. Downside was the price.
I also found a 2001 E46 M3 & a 2000 E39 M5 both in my price range.

I would advise that you stay away from the 2001 M3. If at all possible try to find a 2003.5 or newer, basically one that did not have the rod bearing recall done. Not that it will certainly cause a problem, but the chances would be greater. Also, the first year or two productions of the e46 M3 had a lot more bugs than later years. I have owned two of them so just a fyi.
Once the rod bearing recall has been done, the E46's are fine actually.
There's actually a good one for sale locally right now.

But I'm very sorry, but I have to link you this one too... It's the right color =)

Big think to look for are cracks for the rear subframe. There are also a lot more issues with SMG cars than the 6-speed. If you need any help with mods let me know...I have done numerous coil-overs, full exhaust, intake, audio, halos, you name it on the e46 M3.
