Anyone know an easy way to finance a old car?

I found a 1995 C4 locally for sale, it's in great shape, & I want it.

Trouble is, Bank of America, had some fee on a account I closed over a year ago, & it has been getting a $40 per month "late fee" attached to it, & best of all, they never sent me a bill! It's on my credit, but I took care of it with 4 hours on the phone with BoA.

Back to the loan, it's really hard, with out "perfect" credit to get financing for a 13 year old car. I am putting down 2/3'rds of the cost in $$. They still want to charge me 10.5% on it!

A personal loan through a credit union might get you better rates than 10+ %.

My GF financed the C4S for me, & has a 842 beacon score & only got 8.9% on that.

Like the others try Credit Unions.

But they do jack up the rate on older cars or not even finance them at all

or just wait until you can cash it out. no payments, no interest, and you can choose the insurance coverage you want verses having to go full coverage if you were carrying a bank note.

BECU approved me for 9%, so I'm going to stay with that.

No chance to come up with the $$, I NEED a daily driver.

The car is $35k, & I got $20k cash.

Then when I get the check from my Audi being totaled, I'll pay off my credit cards, & pay off most of the loan. We settled on $19k for the S4 today as well.

Jody, I carry $0 deductible, full insurance on all the cars, if I didn't the Audi would have been a royal PITA to cash out!

Now that's it's done, here are the details...

1995 Porsche 911 C4
Silver on black
extended leather
Hi-FI
rear wiper
sport seats
colored seat backs
Motorsound
trip computer
Stone guard
Silver calipers
sports suspension
LSD

All records, serviced at one shop most of it's life, I'll be the second owner. The car is as clean as my C4S.

I'll post some pics tonight when I get Her home.

Did you think of getting a home equity line of credit? Low rates now and save on taxes.
