Missing Thread...
I agree with Ben's comments above. This isn't something that should have gotten out without permission. I for one know that I would be upset if someone were to tell everyone about something I did. I don't share all the details about my life. This is an open forum and anything can happen so I take care in what I do reveal. Ben has taken the right direction in doing the same or at least trying to do the same. The unfortunate truth of the matter is that if one goes out and gets high profile cars or anything else for that matter, people are certainly going to ask questions. It's just how that person chooses to handle the matter that defines who he/she is. I have nothing but the greatest amount of respect for people like Ben for doing that because that shows the measure of what kind of person he is. I have a very close circle of friends that I trust explicitly. The rest of the world can think whatever they want about me but I know exactly what I want and what I intend to do about it.
You're a good guy, Ben, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Ben and I spoke over the phone. I had apologized and had the thread deleted upon his request. The thread was created to share with the local buddies my enthusiasms for this cars and "Nothing More". Again I am on here to talk about cars nothing more...
I didn't read the thread, so I have no idea what it was about. Ben, your a rock star dude! Anyone that has retro Nike's with Ferrari badges on them, a RUF 996, a CS, MB DTM, and others...........has it going on.
Have I asked myself what it is that you do? Sure! Do I care? No! What I do care about, is you coming out to do drives with us in your incredible cars. Thanks!

no harm meant on my end...
I think you are a great guy and I am glad to know you... for that matter I am glad to know all of you...
you have all been nothing but nice and welcoming and for that I am thankful as I enjoy every minute of it.
I will make up my jack *** comments about "currency trader" and "your avatars are sick" (btw love the new one) by bringing in a car for detail and Vincent will bring in all of his cars!
ben, you put it the best way:
"I'm just happy to have friends who enjoy their cars and enjoy my cars as well."
I enjoy all of our cars and our friendships...
I have to go sing cumbaya so later un****withables and non-approving freinds of un****withables.
Vincent -- if you need help getting all of your cars to MW for details... I would be happy to help

I understand people not wanting their profession/source of wealth posted on a public forum, but I don't understand why anyone would be unwilling to talk about this among acquaintances in person. I know high net worth individuals and none of them have any problems talking about what they do for a living. Talking about cars is cool and all, but so is networking. I find it strange that it's taboo to ask "what do you do for a living?" when we get together for drives. To me, it's just part of normal conversation. I love to share tips/war stories with people who have professional backgrounds that overlap mine. I can understand keeping to yourself on a Honda drive, but on 6speed, I'm assuming that the vast majority of us are working professionals making at least $300K / year (just kidding
)
This isn't directed at anyone in particular, it's just an observation.

For me:
A) In person, it's a whole different ballgame, B) It's all in the intention of why you're asking, and C) Networking is fine, but it is a delicate skill that should not be forced.
And yes, it's all about personal preference. Tomayto... tomahto.
