08 Cooper S, just about every option, a bunch of JCW parts. Funny the dealer was going to RAPE us on install, they wanted $75 to install the shift ****! It's just like BMW, you pull up, remove, push on new one, takes 2min!

It's got NAV, guess what? iDrive! LOL!, really.

Drove it in to work today, it's nice, quiet, nice drive, good stereo, lifetime Sirius, good power for a 1.6l, it's got nice pull! We will be putting on a new IC & turbo back soon.

Congratulations Mike! Your car collection is ever growing! Now you've got what? Two 993s, the MINI Cooper S and the EVO 8. Are you going to keep them all now? And what options DIDN'T you get?

We ended up trading in the EVO, they just found a few more thousand for it, so it was worth it.

We just got 3 cars, the 2 993's & the Cooper S.

The only options we didn't get was the cold weather package, the price before tax was $38,000! But with a slightly smaller car payment then the EVO & 1/2 the insurance we will save a TON of $$, not to mention gas!

We got all the Carbon Fiber JCW parts, for the interior & exterior, a couple of other things.

 

Cold weather package? Really? I would've thought that you'd want that especially in the NW!!!! Heated seats! Gotta have that! The chicks love it!

Sounds like you guys managed to get a good deal out of the trade by getting those guys to ante up. Glad it worked out.

She specked out the car, & didn't want it, I don't know why. Really it was just the heated seats, & mirrors, then the mirrors fold.

I could have worked a even better deal, but she felt sorry for the sales man & told me to back off, & took a deal she felt was fair.

Yes, that was my thought also, but she wanted it. It's got a Alcantera head liner, leather interior, leather doors, CF trim, sports package, HID, nav, bluetooth, lifetime Serious, iPod, etc... It does just about everything.

The sticker was $35 & change, then we added about $3k in add ons, that's all the JCW stuff.

 

$38k! My god....when I got mine back in 2003, mine topped out at $28k! Amazing what a few years of inflation can do!

 

You got to see it, there are more expensive options now. It does add up fast! They can get up in the low $40's now. This thing has more gizmo's then your M5 did!

 

When I saw the new MINI at the introduction they had one fully loaded and there definitely was a TON of options that my old one didn't have. Definitely a "quantum leap" in every way! When I test drove it, it felt better too! But I must say that it lost the "raw" feeling of the old one. Not as much fun handling-wise IMHO to drive. So I guess when you gain something you've got to lose something.
