Seattle nightlife, hotel and restaurant recommendations...
Looks like I'll be in Seattle for a couple days next week for the first time. Looking for some recommendations on a nice hotel, restaurants, things to do, clubs, etc...what do you guys do for fun up there? (days will most likely be thu, fri, and/or sat). Maybe i'll get lucky and it wont rain
Thanks!

Thanks!
For eats it depends on what you want. Local food is Salmon and Seafood. If you are in Seattle itself, there are several places on lake union. You might also head over to West Seattle and Alki beach. Trying to remember the names of the restraunts. I think Salty's was one. Also head down to Pike Place Market. If you are down town, remember, Jesus Christ Made Seattle Under Protest. the first letter of each of those 6 words corresponds to the first letter of tweo streets in Seattle, from South to North. For example, Madisson and Marion are just south Seneca and Spokane streets.
The aquarium is pretty cool. It focuses on Northwest Sealife of course. Also, most people visit the space needle. There is a not so good, but slightly over priced restraunt at the top.
I'll let others chime in with their ideas, now

Lots of great hotels: W, Monaco, Sorrento, Westin, Hilton. Good restaurants: Rays Boathouse on the water, Anthonys Homeport on the water, The Lobster Shop (Tacoma waterfront), Space Needle for view - food not so good, Daniels in Bellevue on top of the Hyatt, Carmines in Pioneer Square (Italian), and the best breakfast in the entire state is at the Maltby Cafe in Maltby. These are just a few off the top of my head, there are many many more great restaurants in Seattle. Enjoy your visit - it is supposed to be sunny.

My favorite restaurant is Lark, the food is amazing.
For nightlife (besides Ricks LOL) you can got to Belltown (the "hip" part of town), haven't been out in a while but Seesound lounge or Amber were good spots.

Hotel Andra is close to many. Very New and nice like "The W" but small and extremely friendly. I've stayed a few times with my girlfriend and they remember my name all times. Nice spot for breakfast in am Lola fresh homemade donuts. Hotel Andra is also in Belltown where the better night life is
http://www.hotelandra.com/ I've stopped staying everywhere else..
Just around the corner is the Icon Grill. Fun and great food

Italian at the Pink Door is quirky but always good

Andra is within just a few walkable blocks to many night spots with lots of talent.

If you like sushi, then I would recommend I love sushi on lake union. Perche' No is about the best Italian food you could ever eat. If you're looking for a cool and funky hotel check out the ace hotel on first avenue in Belltown.

STick with the ideas Mark threw out there, or check out W or Hotel 2000. The Hyatt downtown is where all the ball players stay when they are in town. Nice place and nearby to shopping, but it is a long walk to Belltown (all the clubs)
I would hook up with you, but going with Mark to Cannon Beach in the F-cars that weekend

I agree about Perche No but their move to greenlake makes them a travel spot not a downtown eatery. Great Food but 40 blocks from the hotels is to far to walk. I won't call it the best Italian Food I have ever had but it's good.
My Sicilian mom would also hook me up with some nice Cement Boots if that were to leave my lips

Dont waste your time going to clubs in seattle.. much better in Calif IMO
but the best supposedly is Trinity Night Club, however i like the Heavens better.
Food:
-Dicks Burger, better than In&Out imo.
-Sushi you HAVE to try Wasabi Bistro or Umi Sake house, it's a fusion sushi.
but if you like Japanese sushi try Shiki.
-Coffee/Chocolate: Vivace, try white velvet. it's a must have.
Chocolati for hot chocolate. all of them are good.
-Steak: Metro Grill is the best steak in town, but i prefer Daniel's Broiler.
-Dessert: Chocolate Lava souffle in Joeys, have it together with Bellini. Great atmosphere, beautiful waitresses, view over lake union. Great place to hang out.
Place to check out:
Queen Ann is a MUST !
Alki
Space Needle
Pier Area
Gaswork Park
Fremont: The center of the universe, dont forget to check out the floating house of Sleepless in Seattle plus the Fremont Troll.
well enjoy your stay in Seattle.. bring extra jacket.. it's been freezing lately..

Get a car with NAV, public transportation sucks! Seattle is also very spread out.
What do you like? There is a lot of great food & bars. If you stay downtown, head out to Belltown (ton of trendy bars & food) & Pioneer SQ, then of course Pikes Market.
I've stayed downtown a few times, I like Hotel Monaco, very nice & in a good spot, & I can bring the Mutt.
