discovery channel

I'm sitting here pretty bored on my phone and flipped it onto the discovery channel. I catch myself watching this a lot. Most of the time its the deadliest catch and of course man vs. Wild just because bear is a crazy brit . Just seeing what everyones tv tastes r

When you get to a certain age, you start using phrases like "when you get to a certain age" .... and you also start thinking that the History channel is the coolest thing on the planet, and the 184th version of Hitler's biography MUST contain some new interesting angle not previously covered!!! ROFL

My fave shows are: House, Gray's Anatomy, CSI franchises, Eli Stone, Boston Legal, Formula One, Top Gear, Doctor Who, SouthPark, Flight of the Conchords, Bones

I guess I watch way too much TV lol

Bear sucks.. no offense. He's not the real deal. Now Les Stroud is the man on Survivorman. That show is great, you need to watch that if you haven't..!

You know what I noticed.., I won't watch anything thats not HD now. So I pretty much watch things that aren't even that cool as long as they come in HD quality.. haha

I've had HD since '99 via OTA (the choices then were the Leno show, and erm, KCTS) -- been desperate for it since '94.

I'm a total HD snob now -- I can barely watch *anything* not HD. Exceptions have been F1 and Dr.Who.

I love ths history channel as well. Ever since I was a child I loved to learn about history and see how civilization has progressed and backtracked sometimes.

Survivorman is a good show but he just doesn't do as much dumb stuff as bear haha. I also love top gear as well. The last episode I saw was when they entered the 24 hour endurance race. God how I wish I could just up and do something like that. Especially being able to screw up and have the stig make up time.

I've got a pretty wide array of shows I watch. I mainly DVR them (in HD of course), then catch up later. Everything from Deadliest catch, to Smallville, Top Gear, John Adams (HBO), Bones, Grey's, etc....

It's on BBC America and the Sci-Fi channel.
I think the new episodes are on BBC. A real problem is that some of the episodes are multi-part and you'll find your DVR with just the 1st or 2nd part, which can be frustrating...
I remember watching Dr. Who in the early 70s and having to watch behind a pillow (for maximum protection -- pillows easily exceed Kevlar in this role) absolutely terrified of the monster leaving steaming green goop ... (I think this must've been the inspiration for Sir Ridley Scott's seminal masterpiece "Alien").
