April 29th Proformance All Day Lapping

Just wanted to let you all know that as of this morning there are 2 slots open for the all day lapping day tomorrow (4/29/08)...

I will be there and I know Jeff (Cayman) will be there.

Anyone care to sign up? WOuld love to have more 6speeders in the mix there

yes it may sprinkle and yes there is a woman's bathroom that you can go cry in while it is sprinkling...

So -- for you more experienced guys -- based on the forecast right now for tomorrow (showers and sun breaks) would you go with PS2s or MPSCs?

the true question is single or double-ply.

Hopefully this spring/summer I can get in some proformance racing school so I can be out there in the summer or next spring with you guys.

I'm going downstairs to put on my RA1s right now. This decision is based less on the weather forecast and more on wanting to try out my new jack. See you there!

If it's just sprinkling go with the Cups. They grip well as long as there no puddles of water. It's good that you learn how to drive with them wet on the track. Just be careful driving on the freeway. Have a good time.

Ok PJ. Tires on. Brake early into two and let go quick and coast that car to apex. Possible exit speed of 90 your cars good now but still BLUE. You should exit quick and get to 130 plus down into 3a. Porsche line thru 5a/5b will achieve high speed around 6 up the hill when you FLOOR it over 7 you'll feel like superman, ok now the blue car works. The line thru 8 is more fun 2-3 cars in from the school line and the car should hook up well with some good heat in the tires. Wish I had time to go watch you run. You must be getting fast.

I am not sure that I am that good yet...

I need to talk to Kitch about the "Porsche line" vs the school line...

I no longer use the school line going into 3a

with heat you think I can get to 90 mph exit speed at turn two? I will have to check that...

2-3 cars in from school line thru 8... interesting...

I am certainly getting faster and I am excited to try the CUPS....

the lack of 6speed attendance at these days is somewhat disheartening... Jeff is pretty reliable

I need to spend some time talking with you about all of this Mark... next time I see you...

Can I ask a dumb question - what is the difference between the school line and the Porsche line through 5-6?

Thanks!

The only way to exit 2b at 90+mph is to brake early into 2 and let go early before the last 2/3 braking cones. With the Cups you can do the sweep at pretty high speed and use the all the track to exit 2b faster.

JR also taught me to even shift into 6th through the fastest part of the kink to get the 911 as planted as possible before braking early into 2.
