Black Diablo in the Monroe area around 3PM today.

 

Gray or flat black Lambo this afternoon in Magnolia. Looked absolutely mean. Maybe an LP640, but I could be wrong... I think it may have had a Michigan license plate? I only got a glance at the back from the side mirror.

 

Sounds like the University's SV arrived.

 

I saw the Gray one from MI on Bothell way a few weeks back, not a SV, unless I am blind.

 

Could be a different car or they didn't get an SV. All the corporate Lamborghinis have Michigan plates. The University of Washington was getting a gray SV for an upcoming event and some research project. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a gray LP640 instead because of the demand for SVs. I'll check with Paolo at UW.

 

The UW bought a Lambo? How do they do that with tax payer dollars? This is very interesting.

 

No, Lamborghini is giving them one of the demo cars. Lamborghini donated $1,000,000 last year alone for the UW's composite testing lab. They are huge supporters of UW. I'm sure everything is at Lamborghini's expense.

 

that's cool. I heard a stat yesterday that it costs $85k per Lambo Murci made to produce them without R and D. So I guess they worked through that 1 million in just a few cars I just hope the basketball coach isn't driving it one day

 

The lab tests materials. While they have a crash rig, they will be crashing small components, strength testing, deflection, impact resistance, stuff like that. It's a very cool lab if you ever want to go see it.

 

Also, the gray car is just there temporarily.

man you have all the luck dealing with cars we send them materials to test boring crap that no one cares about. Unless they are driving across a bridge or something

 

Forget the plastic body panels, the lab needs to get busy testing sport tire compounds at low winter temps, it may save some cars.

We already have winter tires that do very well at low temps, ask Roy! If you don't like changing your tires every winter then get some All-seasons and compromise
