let's drive into Seattle and go shopping and finish with a late lunch! Do you think Mark will come by himself?

I'm not a good route planner as I don't really know the backroads. Anyone want to plan something?
BG, Why don't you buy a map? It's pretty easy to plan a drive. For me the drives in and around the greater Seattle area tend to be boring, dangerous, and cop infested. For example three of us did a fun drive two weeks ago over to the Lake Wenatchee/Chumstick area. Pretty much took the whole day, but I'm getting the impression from the posts on this board there is not much interest in a drive of more than a hundred miles or two hours. Earlier this year a few of us took back roads to Bellingham for a late lunch and just recently we did a tour up to Paul Allen's Airplane museum followed by lunch and then a drive up to Anacortes for dinner. None of these would take the place of standing around a parking lot and BSing about one thing and another and taking photos of the same cars time after time.

Tomorrow I'll be out for a drive in Pierce County. GETTER DONE!

Where/when did everyone want to meet up?

A few of us guys that consider 10am to be "really early" threw something together last minute.

If anyone wants to come out for brunch/drive, feel free to stop out. It should be an easy spot. Just look for the only car in the parking lot with roll cage gussets extending to the A pillar.

Larry, you seem to be the guru of back road drives in this area. Would you consider putting together a drive for us on a Saturday - maybe in two weeks? Believe it or not, I have never done the Chuckanut Drive and I hear that is a nice road? Or any other suggestions? I would be in also!

You know on Ferrari Chat, they are always planning great tours. Next weekend they are going on a "Stennis Tour" whatever that is - but they are meeting for Breakfast maybe in Port Orchard then a nice drive in the Penninsula somewhere. Something like that sounds really fun!

Chuckanut is a great road but alas, it's a bit too short and often infested with tourists and other cars so if we did go on that road, it'd be a bit slow. Hardly worth it. There are plenty of other good roads that'd suit us just as well but the REALLY good roads are unfortunately quite a distance away.

i just took a drive up to whistler and it is not as much fun as it used to be. too much construction which created a lot of traffic. i am game for some good twisty roads with no traffic.

^^^ Yes, so did we. Stopped in construction traffic most of time. North of Whistler was nice driving though.
