Toddler's Car Seat Help!

I need some recommendation on finding a Front facing car seats for my toddlers. I needed to be narrow enough to fit into the GT3 seats and/or low enough to fit into the rear seats of the 993.

Vincent,
How old are your kids, and how much do they weigh?

In the Porsche I use the Recaro Young for Bella and Sophia.
We own 4 of the seats, and one has been converted into a booster seat for Bella.

The other seat I recommend is the Clek. Bella loves it.

http://www.magnaclek.com/us/english/olli/index.aspx

I am not sure about the rear seat applications as I have not had the need.

Hopefully this help a bit.

Thanks Brian. I know you'd have more experience than me in this area. Mine girls are similar to yours 6 and 4. I have a tough time fitting any seats onto the Euro GT3 seats in my 996TT as they are really narrow. I may have to try the booster as well.

i have the porsche boosters

nobody knows car seats like brian, but...

i have the recaro that we use in the mercedes and i use the porsche booster in the back of my 997.

they're a bit more expensive but they have a narrower base to fit in the back.

happy to meet to show it to you. if you talk to colleen at merry go round and explain to her you're using it in a porsche, she'll probably recommend the porsche seat...

She upsold the crap out of us before our daughter was born.

I picked up a Recaro at Speedware for our daughter.

They stock them. If you were interested, I am sure you could drive the car in and do a test fit...

no... not yet... when she gets to booster seat status she can move into the GT3...

she has been in the lowly M though

She mainly likes to rock out in the X5 -- she is still rear facing and when we put the dog in the back of the X5, she can make faces at the dog...

Vince,

Porsche has their own seats that they sell for kids. I have two of them that I purchased from Barrier. They're EXCELLENT and yes, they are extremely LOW so they work in the back seat where the kids should be otherwise there's the passenger side airbag disable BS that you have to put up with.

Warning, shameless self promotion coming

My wife Amy, whom many of you met last Sunday, has a high-end ebay store. She knows kids clothing and stuff extremely well. So all of you who have kids that are growing out of their seats, clothes or just about anything else Amy can help you get some of those dollars back so your wife can spend them again. Imagine your wife buys stuff for the kids and you have Amy sell it and send the check to you. You drop it into the 'Mod Fund'. Your wife gets to shop while your Mod Fund grows...everyone wins =)

She comes to you, professional pictures are taken, the product sells and she sends you a check. It is that simple. She works with a couple home organizers right now who tell their clients that they need to get rid of stuff cluttering their closets and spare bedrooms in order to be organized, then they bring Amy the stuff and she makes it all go away and they get money back in return. Most of these clients are located in Bear Creek and Medina. So she knows how to deal in the higher end for sure.

Shameless self promotion turned off....you may return to your Toddler Seat thread viewing now...

Rob

Hey Vincent, I use an EvenFlo Tribute in both the Elise and 911 (Sparco) and it fits widthwise no problem. However, it's only good to 40lbs and 40" so your 6 yo is way past and your 4 yo must be getting close to.
Tell us what you end up with since I'll be in the market too as my 3 yo is needing to step up soon
