Community Garage???
Community Garage???
I was wondering there are many clubs of car owners nationally that all pitch in to rent a warehouse space for car storage and have a shop space also with lift etc.. to work on cars. Is there any in the Seattle area?
I was just reading about the "Monticello Motor Club" which features a 22-turn, 4.1 mile road course, a circuit designed by Brian Redman. It features 450 feet of elevation changes, one of the longest straights on the continent, a skidpad, and a dozen different possible running configurations. In addition to the track, a 30,000 sq foot clubhouse, exercise facilities, overnight accommodations, a five-star spa, and a top flight restaurant among other things is available. This will be made possible through a $125,000 one-time enrollment fee as well as a $7500 annual fees but that's only the tip of the iceberg. Members can pay extra to store their prized car collection in reserved garages. Private residences will also be available with cutting edge living spaces above luxury garages. Members will get up to 200 track days a year.
Nice concept but a wee bit more than the community garage idea.

Let us all know when there is an update on this front. I don't mind turning a wrench on the Lotus but I hate the idea of doing it in the town house garage. Even worst is when I move to the condo and that idea will be impossible.
Crap I'm already out of space and can't get the other neighbors to sell yet
