914's and 986's ???
So guys at dinner tonight CV asked me if the Boxster (986 I believe) is Porsche's newest version of the 914-6?
I can't answer her I don't know.
Both mid engine 6 cylinder and most are convertibles ( t tops etc )
Both cars close weight to power ratio.
What's the story anyone know?

Yea the logic behind this is amusing at best. Just the normal H20 trying to razz people up. In all actuality if Mark had a memory longer then his unit, he would remember the post I made concerning the boxster being more closely related to the all mighty 550. The 914 is a great car and the 914-6 (only a few made though) were faster then the 911 made for the same year. Unfortunately Porsche used the 4 cyl in most of the 914 that is why the 914-6 are considered more of a colectors car.

I never saw the post regarding 550's and Boxsters....
No Josh to clear things up. No one on 6 speed has a memory longer than my unit.
