nothing special about facebook really. Mostly it is just a collection of gimmicks. However, the flood of old friends is pretty immense. Just a deluge of people I had lost touch with.

Of course there are a couple that you'd rather not connect with (like old girlfriends from before marraige. But you just ignore those (unless you are looking for a divorce of course)

I have lots of catching up to do when I get back to the US.

 

OK, got registered, but haven't been in yet. What do you recommend?

How do you get rid off people you don't want to be friend with?

 

When you go to that friend's profile page, there's a link on the left side a bit downwards that says "Remove from Friends."

You're on there too? Add me. I tried finding you...

 

Or you ignore their request.

 

^^^or that too. I was talking about people you're already friends with and want to get rid of.

 

I joined after my trip to Greece to stay in contact with people from Ireland and the UK that I met on my trip. I did have an ex GF of mine find me on there. Good new is that one of her old friends that I was friends with also now lives in Seattle. We have spoken and she will be part of all my parties that we put together.
