Shoot me a PM, and come over for lunch sometime Vincent. Note they're closed Monday. Their hamachi, o-toro, albacore toro (when lucky enough for it to be available) and saba rocks with the best of them.

Only reason I mentioned legality is to dispel the notion of "fresh" salmon. All salmon served in this state for consumption raw has been previously frozen for sufficient time to kill all parasites.

Thanks Paul. We'll take you up on that sometimes in March.
I 'd like to also take you to a hole the wall in the International district or Bell Town and we can discuss it over a glass of warm Sake.

I have had great Sushi at Riki Riki in Kirkland as well. I may not know the finer points between what is good or bad, but I know bad Sushi and neither Tuna House or Riki Riki are bad.

I usually go for the chilled sake myself. I like Kurosawa, not too dry, not too sweet.

Are you really booking out 13months in advance ?? LOL or do you mean next month ?

Yes I am that booked out in advance.
A sake is only as good as person you drink with. So Kurosawa sounds delicious to me.

Anthony Bourdain said it best "the best foods come from the most unlikely places."

This is a very helpful thread. I have to admit that Tuna House is not a great name for a good authentic sushi restaurant but based on your review BritBlaster I will definitely give it a try. Thanks!
