WAIT
What was wrong with just teaching it the "regular way" and those kids that dont get it.... take them aside and give them a little "one on one" till they do get is....NOOOO we will dumb it down, complicate it, spin it in the food prossesor and spit it out all jumbled up so no one gets it EXCEPT the slow kids!!

<steps of soapbox>
I hear ya man. The wife and I are still just planning kids and are already concerned with the current state of our education system and the prioritazation of "special needs" kids and its interference with "regular" education. Eh, we have a ways to go and so much to learn ourselves

We do most of the teaching to our kids at home and then send them to school for recesses.

Yep Home Schooling though better sometimes than public still doesn't prepare them for the real world and communicating with other human beings. Recess is the precurser to life.

We are fortunate enough to have outstanding schools in Gig Harbor though my ex finds it important to keep my son in Private. Ugggg. He's learning a lot but his 12 kid classroom until 5th grade will I fear hurt him in the long run
