awe, I have removed the entire intake system off my car before, swapped a tranny, lowered the motor, and am doing a suspension swap...in high school was a mechanic and have worked on 100's of cars doing minor or major work.....

now a machinist... I make parts from scratch at a research company. I know my way around a wrench and know others on this board who do too....

 

VDub: Good luck finding your guy. Jody is correct- that is an older (85-88) 944 turbo. have you thought about posting a craigslist "missed connections" personal ad? you should check them out- you never know, he may be looking for you too
