Hi guys I'm new here, but definitely not new to car meets and drives. I've been getting myself comfy with local car enthusiasts from Northwest Nissans, Northwest Motoring, and the Northwest community from E90Post (BMW 3-series enthusiasts) but feel like it's time to step it up to the exotics and classics.

By "step it up," I mean to start taking pictures of different cars. Yes, I'm a photographer! But I am by no means a professional. I am only 16 years old and I simply have a passion for cars and photography. I recently put the two together and have been taking photos for the aforementioned communities. After spending a year with the Nissans, a few months with the BMWs (and counting), I think I should begin to get myself known with the exotics here, as summer comes around the corner.

I may know a few people on this forum - a guy with an orange Lotus Elise that works at Turn10 (Forza 2! ), the black Lamborghini DiabloGT who I think is the owner of Cats Exotics (I have a friend who happens to know the owner's son), and a few more that I can't recall at the moment. I probably saw many of you at last year's SPE Karts Car show that UW fraternity Sigma-Phi-Epsilon put on at Red Square on the UW campus. That happened to be my first time diving into photography and cars.

But the whole point of this introduction is to get myself known! It may seem like I'm asking a favor, and honestly, I am. In past meets I've had to ask fellow community members to give me rides, given the age that I am and my role in the meet - the photographer. So, I am simply asking for your guys' trust, acceptance into your community here, and, well, a ride to your meets/drives! Help a young photographer out!

Finally, some work from past meets that I've been to. I currently use a Canon 5D Mark II, 50mm EF f/1.8, 70-200 EF f/4 IS, and a 580EXII strobe. The wide-angle is coming soon when I get the money (Some photos were taken with a Nikon D300, 17-55mm f/2.8 AF-S, and 70-200mm f/2.8 AF-S VR before I made the switch to Canon).

Nice work Jeffrey! And nice intro as well! I was at the charity car show as well. I wonder if we met?

I think if you enjoy taking pictures of exotics, you'd really enjoy coming down to the ERTC meets on Saturday's. There is always a variety of beautiful cars and a ton of cool people as well. I usually make it down there, so if you see me, please come and say hello! There will also be a photoshoot day and lunch that I've organized at Remlinger Farms on Sunday, May 31st. Join us!

May 31st? I might be able to make it, but that happens to be the day after a community service event I'm doing for my school that will take up most of my weekend, exhaust me of my energy, and pile up my homework all on that day. That also means I won't be able to attend the next ERTC event - still haven't gone to one! But I'll see what I can do about the photoshoot.

My favorite is the pic from the back seat.

 

Yeah that photo was surprising to me - I had the camera set up on a tripod strapped down with the seatbelts and I couldn't see the screen, meaning I couldn't tell what I was taking a picture of, whether it was in focus, etc. I just sat next to it and hit the shutter every few seconds. Once I got home I looked at the photos and was just

Yeah I posted a ton of photos from this year's Golden Gardens meet on that forum. I gave the admin two NWN banners to use on the site. They appear at the top of the page every once in a while.
