no test drives at Park Place?
^^ Yup. I'm still surprised though. Retail sales, especially of high end luxury items like Porsches etc are really down. I would think it would be stupid for any sales person to just straight out treat you like that. I treat every customer the same. You can never tell by looking at someone if they are serious, or if they have money or not. Never judge a book by its cover.
Actually it sounds like the real estate market with people thinking their stuff is worth more that it is and the only one like it available. There is always a better deal to be found especially now days.
I own the car in question, 1999 Red Diablo Roadster, as well as several other of MY CARS are on the PPL lot...on consignment....
If you are intrested in a car that is MINE, all you need to do is call ME or KEVIN and I will make sure to meet you there and we can go for a test drive with me...
intrested parties of course...no joy riders..
Thanks

This was last year and I called Kevin. Kevin was going to be in Vegas getting hitched so he setup a appointment for me to go and look over the car and take it for a drive. It was a silver murci.
I have called you and came to your home. You have let me drive your cars. You my friend are first class! When its time to buy, Im calling you.

I'll bet it was as simple. He sized you up as not being serious, or not ready to buy, & just didn't want to spend the time with you. A lot of car sale guys are like that. If you are going to "waste" their time, they have no time for you.
I hate to say it, but how did you dress, & want did you drive in? They do size people up. They do treat you better if you look like you have $$.
I've been to PP a few times, had about 4 cars PPI'ed from there. Yes, I could get a test drive with the salesman, & they were over priced, & all needed work that did not justify the overly high price. They had a beautiful Yellow C4S there, that I just wanted so bad, but it was almost $10k to high, & needed about $6k worth of work. We just could not make the deal happen, it was a consign car.
There a used car lot, & you will get a different experience almost every time you go there.

Bellevue dealerships all have one thing in common.....Barrier one of the worst. They have too many customers that have entirely too much money to actually give a **** about the customers. it's a funny world they live in but it's reality.
Barrier Porsche has one good thing going for it. Jeff the service manager actually cares about his customers. The sales managers don't care if they sell though. Making it very easy for me never to purchase from them.
Yup. I experienced the same thing here at multiple Nissan dealerships. That is the main reason I nixed buying the GTR. I even rolled up in my M3 ready to trade that sucker in.
One of the funniest stories that I can remember, was when I was a young punk kid (about 19 or 20), I found out that Grand Prix Motors (Now known as Ferrari & Maserati of Seattle) had a Countach in their showroom. That being my favorite car in the whole wide world, I hopped in my brand new '79 RX-7 (which I was so proud of), and drove from Auburn up to Seattle to check it out.
I was astonished that the sales guy (gosh, its been so long, I think his name was Rob), actually spent time with me and showed me the car. After we were done, I asked him why he spent that much time with me since he knew I wasn't a serious buyer. I'll always remember what he told me....
"Mike, you never know who is going to buy a car like this. I treat everyone the same. One day I was sitting at my desk and a guy walks in the showroom with a dirty white T-Shirt on, cowboy boots and a big 10 gallon hat. I was thinking to myself.. oh God, here comes a real winner.. another looky-loo. But, I showed him a 308GTS that he wanted to see. And, wouldn't you know it... he bought it on the spot. From that day forward, I always treated everyone the same when they came through those showroom doors".
I always remembered that, and its why I've bought 4 vehicles from Ferrari & Maserati of Seattle over the years.

AMEN brother Vic!
Mike -- thanks for sharing the story. I've had great experiences with FMoS too, definitely the best car-buying experience I've had, and probably explains the 6 cars I've bought from them...
isn't that bmw dealership known as the worst dealership in the state? i've only heard it because i have no desires towards that side of germany but my one experience there i was outside for 20 minutes looking over a couple of cars with no approach.
isn't one of the white r8's one of the binghams? if so it would be driven occassionally i would think.
