PR Grand Prix Karting Day Sep 23
PR Grand Prix Karting Day Sep 23
**UPDATED**
We're on for karting at PR on Wed Sep 23rd. This is going to be a little different than last time: we are doing a GP racing format with qualifying rounds, a semi, and a final. This should make things more interesting, competitive, and allow one top dog to have bragging rights for the day. Details are below. Please add your name to the list if you plan on attending.
We are limited to 16 spots so that everyone will be able to participate in each round to maximize seat time. I need to have a relatively firm headcount by next Wed Sep 9 so that I know whether or not to put a deposit down for the day to hold our reservation as a private party. If we don't get enough people signed up, we can still go (I plan on it), but it won't be a private party anymore and the facility will be open to others. This is a private-party event and limited to those signed up on the list for now. See you all there. This should be a blast!
GP Race Format: two qualifying rounds, one semi-final, and one final round. Everyone will get to race each round, but the final will be a standing grid start based on qualifying rounds.
Cost: $85/person + tax
Start time: high Noon
Requirements: long pants and closed shoes. Long-sleeve shirts are recommended. If you insist on wearing shorts, you will be asked to wear their coveralls (except Mark, who seems to be able to do whatever he wants). Head sock if you borrow a helmet from the facility ($2.50 one-time charge. You get to keep the head sock).
