Good Body Shop & Suspension Shop?

I'll be installing some new Misha bumper and decklid when I get to WA and was wondering if anyone can recommend some good shops for this install. I'd do it in NY but it seems the shipping might be cheaper just to do it at WA.

Also, I bought some RSS Club Sport coilovers from H&R and need a good shop to install and dial in the suspension. Anyone have a good shop to recommend?

Just to throw in there... I'll be switching my PCA region for obvious reasons, I saw that I'll be in Zone 6 but if I'm in the Tacoma area, which region would I fall under?

Hello,

You'd fall under Zone 6, and I believe you'd fall under the Pacific Northwest Region. Maybe the Olympic Pen. region, but I'm not positive of the cut off area. You can always go under the PCA website and contact the zone 6 rep and check.

As far as the shop goes, I highly recommend Alex at MaxRPM. He's a great guy and really knows his stuff. He's also in the PCA and has worked on both our 996 and 986. You can look him up under MaxRPM Motorsports in Bremerton, WA. If you do call him, tell him Jody and Todd sent you! He'll take good care of you!

Best wishes!

Welcome.. what part of NY are you from? I'm from Long Island originally and got transplanted out here (military).. You'll love it here..

As far as the bumper and deck lid are concerned- if you already had them painted, I can help you put them on.. Its real easy.. it swapped a front 997 GT3 bumper and Misha GT2 rear spoiler on my '99 Carrera.. I'd be happy to help you out. PM me.

Cantrell Motorsports if you don't do it yourself

In Tacoma you'd be the Peninsula Region but most of us in Tacoma/Gig Harbor are members of the larger Pacific NW section

Appreciate the help.

I'm actually from Long Island as well. Nassau county.

I'll be going to Lewis for a bit so I'll prob see you around. Depending on my situation, I might end up in the same unit.

516 represent!! I'll help you out with the bumper- no problem. So whats the deal with not knowing where you're going @ Lewis? doesnt your 4187 papers state your destination? So what's your MOS? I was an 11B..
anyway, definitely hit me up when you arrive.

I appreciate the help on the bumper. Unfortunately, I don't think Misha sells their bumpers already painted. The rear is no issue but I've never done the front bumper before and didn't want to screw it up.

I've decided to just go with the GT2 front and rear decklid with wing. Tired of the stupid spoiler light the comes up every once in a while. But we'll see.

And where you from in Nassau? I left outta Lynbrook. Between Malverne and Oceanside. I'm a 11C. I'm not trying to cash my check before I get it but I'm slotted to go to Ranger School TDY during my PCS to Lewis. After that, off to ROP I go and see where that takes me. Again, all depends on what happens at RS.

And usually 4187 aren't used for PCS orders is it? Usually, I've always gotten orders from branch telling me where I'm going next.

Sounds like you're doing what I did to my car. Misha's products are awesome with perfect fitment.. but yeah, the bumpers dont come painted- they come gel coated and dont have the mounting locations drilled. so you will need to fit it when it comes then send it out to a body shop to paint- or just have it all done at a body shop.
I am from Wantagh- not too far from Lynbrook down sunrise hwy.
And to tell you the truth, I dont know exactly how TDY and 4187's work. I would only hear others talking about them. I went from basic/AIT to airborne school to RIP (all at Benning) straight to 2/75 as my first and only duty station.. 4 years, 16 weeks,2 days and a wake up later I was a free man
PM me and we'll shoot the **** that way. stay safe out there!

I used to visit Wantagh all the time. Actually, I was there when I was on leave not to long ago.

When were you over at 2/75?

That's actually exactly what I did when I first enlisted into the Army.

11X Option 40.

OSUT at Benning.
Airborne After That
RIP after that.

Only problem was that during Airborne school I tore the lateral meniscus in my left knee and just ran with it. Once RIP was over and done with and realized Bat life was MUCH MUCH MUCHHHHHHHH worse than RIP, I got a RFM. Now I'm paying for it now with horrible knee pains but I'm still young...

We'll see how I handle RS and go from there. But yeah, I'll definitely PM you and give you a shout when I'm in the area. Take the Porsche out on a nice drive. I'm already looking up gas stations with 101 unleaded. LOL.
