Where should i get my V1 hardwired into M3?

Where should i get my V1 hardwired into M3?

Hey guys, need more help. my M3's cigarette lighter is practically in the back seat! i need to get my radar detector hard wired and have no idea how to do that. Any good local places? Thanks, T

It is very easy to hard wire it into your sunroof / UGO power. I can find you a DIY guide if you would like. But any shop should be able to do it in less time than the shop min charge.

vincent says he can do it in minutes so you can do it in an hour or so....he's a real dr

I hardwired mine to the Homelink fuse in the fusebox (behind the glove compartment) using a fuse tap. Very easy.
Just run the wire under the liner and along the A pillar (behind the rubber gasket)

Here is the fusetap I used (I believe Schucks has them)


I have heard taping the sunroof wire could cause a fault in the E9X. Plus you don't have a sunroof anyway ;-)

See Derek down at Benchmark in Bellevue if you don't want to do it yourself. They installed my V-1 and my Passport and did a super job.

thanks! someone else i know likes Benchmark as well i might just try it myself. appreciate most of the responses
