Apexcarver: I am interested in your friends winter/wheel tire package but cannot PM you due to my low post count. Please let me know if this is for a C4S and how I can get in touch with him.

jca3: Please share your initial impression on those Michelin PA's. I was looking at those ones when I was building a tire/wheel winter package at tirerack for my '09 c4s with the sport edition wheels. Also what rims did you get ? Is there any downside to going with their chinese built, heavier Sport Edition wheels for a daily winter driver or should I be looking at their O.Z. alleggerita line of wheels for a $ 100K car ?

jca3 is infamous around these parts
I'm liking the PA2's. I did get the "sport cup" wheels and the tires from Tirerack. Great deal, especially since they did the mount and balance for free. This is an 18" rim. The feel is a little softer than the 19" rims with summer tires.

Tirerack (damon) was great to work with, the price was right, and I was impressed with the quality of the rims for such "cheapies" and they look halfway decent. Photos attached. Perfect for winter.

Wink

Thanks jca3: I appreciate your prompt response and the time taken to post the pictures. Those wheels are looking pretty good on your car. Glad that you are liking the PA 2's. Personally, although I like the look of the sport cups better, I'm leaning towards the Italian O.Z.'s (will add up $600 more to the total cost). It makes me FEEL better to go with the more expensive wheel considering that it is going to be on a $ 100K + car. If I dont hear from apexcarver's friend I will probably call Damon @ tirerack tomorrow and pull the trigger. I just bought the car two weeks ago and hardly drove it for 3 days. Now I can't bear the sight/sound of my P-car whimpering in the garage wanting to get out. Temperature in Yakima is in the 20's and tried taking her out and could immediately feel the hard plasticky texture of the performance tires in such low temps. Will not repeat the mistake.
