100 octane unleaded in the South Sound?
100 octane unleaded in the South Sound?
Anyone know where there might be a steady supply of this? I know there is a pump at Pacific Raceways, but it is $9 a gallon and the pumps are locked over the winter. I hear there is a place in Ballard, but I am hopeful there is something closer to where I live in Pierce County. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Thanks, Vasiliy. I will look into this!

You can get the 101 unleaded directly out of the pump. I believe it's the pump in the south-western corner of their row of pumps.
They also have I believe 110 and 114 leaded available, but that has to be pumped into a container.

It's not "far less" than $9 a gallon. I was there a few months ago and it was around $8.35 for the Trick 101 I believe.

For the record, the station quoted $8.45 for 100, while it was $9.70 at the track today. I ended up buying $275 of it at the track today (ouch).
PJ, I don't know all the science behind it, but I have been told that the motor in this car was built and mapped for 100 unleaded, and that I should not be using leaded nor should I be using 92. Damn!
The only reason why people avoiding leaded gas is that it can damaged your oxygen sensors or cats. I don't think a track purpose car like yours has cats on it. At least I hope it doesn't. Even if does and you're not worry about emission you'll be fine. If your car is tuned for 100+ you will not have any problem running anything higher then 100 leaded or unleaded gas. But why waste money if you don't need it.
