speeding fine of $290,000
A guy in Switzerland was fined this for allegedly speeding 35 mph over the limit. Ouch...

Article says fine was based upon wealth. Hmm so if the fine is calculated based upon income I'd be speeding all the time until I finish up school!! Sounds like a good deal to me. Weird system and idea though.

All government fines and taxes over there are based on income, I think?
