Interesting... So did you use a GM chassis (Pontiac G8?) and then import Commodore parts and body?

You got it! Donor car was a Pontiac G8 GT. Everything that is different on the car in Australia was purchased, imported, and installed here including full front clip, steering wheel, shifter, airbag, emblems, spoiler, floormats, etc.
The car also has a good amount of upgrades including Corsa Cat Back Exhaust, Vector Motorsports Tune, Roto-Fab CAI, tons of custom paint, tint, etc.
It will have a whole new look in the coming weeks. Several big changes in the works.

It looks SO MUCH better than the G8. Congratulations, all that work has given you a very very unique car. (in this hemisphere anyway) Wish I could do the same with an Alfa Romeo GT, but no donor car. Maybe Fiat will bring it over as a Chrysler (obviously it will look horrible, but as you have demonstrated, that can be changed)

I am up early this morning and was browsing through the catergories here. Where am I supposed to post about my car? There is no Australian section! No Holden, Vauxhall, or Opel Section? What's a guy like me supposed to do?

Great looking car. Seeing as your car started as an American G8, I'd start off in the American Muscle section. You should get a pretty warm welcome there with all the work you've put in.
Welcome to the 6.
James
