One thing about those ceramic coated tips, be VERY careful about getting dirt on them. I got some dirt on mine and didn't wash them off right away. They were "baked" on leaving a permanent blemish on the finish. I ended up having to take them off altogether. So, make sure they're always free of dirt.

I should point out that I was talking about dirt, mud, etc. Anything that's on the tips. Water spots, black soot, etc should be ok.

Are you sure it was dirt, & not tar, or asphalt? I know they can get backed on tips.

I have had Performance Coatings do a ton of stuff for me, & they are top notch. I bet a pair of tips are under $50 for them to do'em.

Pretty sure...I went to get it off and it left a permanent etching on it. I sent the tips back to cargraphic and they had to refinish it to get rid of the etching.

Actually I sold it back to cargraphic and went with chrome TechArt tips instead.
