It was a little to bright & I overexposed most of the pics. It was hard to read the LCD in the bright sun, but I'll get it next time. I also didn't bring any filters with me
Non P-shoped, just adjusted levels with iPhoto.

My friend Daves 96 C2, he beat me, came in 3rd. :nono:

I'm looking to improve, so give it to me bluntly.

Definitely overexposed. I think your shutter speed was too slow at 1/30th for those action shots, maybe try 1/60th. Also, when it's nice and bright out like that, you should have your ISO at 50 or 100 (whatever the lowest setting is), no need to compensate for light with higher ISO.

They look ok when I wasn't trying to blur them. Just boring shots.

What kind of camera again? Be sure to turn on the info when you're looking at them on the camera and look at the histogram. Anything pushed way to the right is going to be over exposed. If you're shooting a newer Canon, turn on highlight tone priority. You'll lose ISO 100 and the upper most ISO, but it prevents some blowout depending on what mode you're shooting in.

Normally I'll shoot panning shots in Shutter priority and 1/60-100 depending on how fast they are moving. Having a lens with IS helps as well. Be sure to set your focus point on your own so the lens does not hunt trying to find a focus point. Also try setting your camera to AI Servo or AI focus. if you're tracking a moving subject, the camera will auto focus as the subject moves. Then it's all about timing and being smooth in your movements......

Shot in "TV" played with a bunch of speeds
Had AI servo turned on, had a EFS lens with IS, but it was off, & used pin point focus. Also all the shots were taken at full zoom with the lens, I wasn't very close about 75+ yards away.
Yea, my timing was a little off, & I just not used to the camera, I got to start using the back AF button, that really seamed to help.
Where is the highlight tone settings?
I was more pissed that it was all over exposed, I did reduce exposure by at least 1/8 & most were more then that. I will start to use the histogram. This dam camera has so many buttons!
Usually I do, but the pics will be HUGE, I'm going jpeg till I get a new laptop with a huge hard drive. I might try the lower RAW setting & see how well it does.
