11AM SUNDAY JUNE 26 @ LAKE SAMMAMISH PARK'S CREEK SHELTER SITE

I will be showing up probably around 9am to being setting up and preparing tables and getting the grill hot. If anyone wants to show up early that is cool, but I think 11 am will be ample time for everyone to sorta sleep in and me to have the site prepped. I have attached a map of the park and if you look for the 'A', that is where we will be at. I am going to keep contact with the Park personnel to see if there is a way I can reserve a row of parking for as many people as possible. With it being a Sunday, I am not sure how that will go over, but I will do my best to be intimidating and make it happen.

So without further delay lets begin the list of attendees and goodies.

1. RB - Burgers
2. Mara - Hot Dogs
3. Jody - Macaroni Shrimp Salad
4. Paul - Hot Dogs / Baked Beans

Dang it I just checked my calendar and I’ll be down in Portland from the 24-27, that’s the only Sunday that I have something going on that whole month.

That chili will be potent, no?

Count me in for this as well, I'll bring a fruit salad for everyone.

HUMMM 3 03-31-2011 04:01 PM

RB, As I recall you need a fairly hefty deposit up front. If you need help in fronting the bucks, let me know, I'll be happy to chip in.

Eliseguy 03-31-2011 04:06 PM

No worries Larry. I had to pay in full to lock in the location. Some one can pick up the tab next year if this turns into an annual gig :).

HUMMM 3 03-31-2011 04:08 PM

[quote=atomic80;3165745]That chili will be potent, no?

Should be it has been aging since last years (or was it 2 years ago?) canceled picnic.

We can have a blazing saddles contest with the winner getting a free trip to downtown Forks, WA. Get yourself tuned up for this memorable event.:)

Hot Shot 03-31-2011 04:13 PM

We're in as well. I'll see if Sarah can make her four layer delight dessert.

Eliseguy 03-31-2011 04:27 PM

Bring on the chili. The lady said the restrooms are fairly close to the location hilarious

chobit 03-31-2011 06:42 PM

I & my wife would like to join, not sure what we can bring. Maybe I can think of some BBQ foods which we do in chinese style bbq??

Eliseguy 03-31-2011 09:41 PM

Thats perfectly fine. What your name? I don't think I have met you before.

chobit 03-31-2011 11:38 PM

Oh yeah, I am Eddy.

I am new to the forum, since I just got my 06 C4S back in July last year.
I've didn't learn about the E@RTC until recently too. Since then I E@RTC had been cancelled a few times.

I did drop by during that snowy weekend, but arrived kind of late.. =D

I should be going to the auto show on Sat. Hopefully it wouldn't rain too much..!

Coiled 03-31-2011 11:49 PM

Is this an open event? I might be able to get a couple V10's together & join you. I'm about 10-15 mins away from the park & can help w/set-up after 10 a.m. or tear-down. What do you anticipate for food needs? More meat/beverages/dessert....?

Peter1.8t 04-01-2011 02:58 AM

I never introduced myself to the forum either. I'm Peter, complete car nut. I drive an Audi s4, also have a project 1969 mustang coupe that I try to work on when I have the time. I'm in college and work part time as a valet, but dont judge me for that! I swear I dont drive other peoples cars crazy!

Looking forward to meeting you guys and girls, either at this event or sometime sooner!

As far as I know its open. By the looks of it, we might have to pay a fee for parking, see as how we are renting out part of the park for the BBQ.

Its an open event. I would like to try to keep it relatively connected to the 6spd group or friends of 6spders. With that said, feel free to bring some friends with you and the help would be much appreciated. At the moment I anticipate needing beverages and maybe a bit more meat. That will of course continue to change until we get a more concrete number of how many people will be attending.

According to the person at the park that I talked to when I reserved the spot, there presently is no entrance fee. She said they are currently deciding if they will go forward with adding that fee which seems very likely. I intend to keep a fairly open line of communication with park staff and will update as I get more information.

Born2Run 04-01-2011 11:06 AM

Checked my calendar and no kids sports that day. The wife and I are in. We will bring some sort of meat, chips, and drinks.

Ted & Siri

atomic80 04-01-2011 11:12 AM

Glad you can make it, Ted! It'll be good to see you, Siri and the kids!

Sendero 04-01-2011 02:01 PM

I think I'll be in town that weekend. I'll bring some direct from Texas chicken & beef fajitas. Maybe some pork too if I have any around by then. I'll also bring some tortillas, salsa, and cheese too for topppings.

Snooze 04-01-2011 03:15 PM

25. Erik and Eve - Sugars

jags911tt 04-01-2011 03:29 PM

Do u all want me to bring some Indian food to grill?

Eliseguy 04-01-2011 03:32 PM

Jags,

Thats fine. I am not too familiar with how to grill Indian food, but I will gladly step aside and hand over the grill to you.

Guess I should count myself new as well since I haven't met anyone from 6spd yet. Always been into cars and motorcycles. My wife was a hippy in a former life (her words :-) ) an owned a couple pre 60's vw buses and bugs. My most elaborate mod was a 2000 Turbo Beetle. Then came the 911's-thank God! Anyway, we especially love to road trip to events or shows. Looking forward to meeting everyone. We can bring what ever can fit securely in a 996.

Eliseguy 04-02-2011 10:10 PM

Welcome and we will be glad to have you and the wife attend. What are your guys' names?

Mullypro 04-03-2011 09:21 PM

Mark and Sheryl...looking forward to the date. NO MORE RAIN!

BoxsterGirlie01 04-04-2011 04:12 PM

Nom! Nom! Nom!

TheBroker 04-05-2011 04:00 PM

I will be there with my girl

James and Stacie.

I can bring soda as it has not been mentioned thus far.

Eliseguy 04-05-2011 09:03 PM

Sounds good. Thanks james

PoBExige 04-07-2011 09:55 PM

Crap I work that weekend, I'll have to request it off!

Eliseguy 04-08-2011 10:46 AM

Hope you can make it.

You guys have any suggestions for activities? I am thinking about maybe putting together a little raffle with profits rolled into next year's bbq or maybe even put it towards a bigger event for the 6spd crew. If interested throw out some suggestions for prizes.

Eliseguy 05-24-2011 09:54 PM

Bumping this back up so we can make sure everyone has it penciled in that is attending.

Horhay 05-25-2011 03:55 PM

I'd love to make it, but I have two other events on that date, so no matter what I'll be out of the area.
