Hi Everyone,
It's Porsche day this Saturday at RTC! It looks like the weather will cooperate and we should have a very good turnout after last Saturday's rainout.

Don't forget the 6Speed BBQ on Sunday!!!

That 250 GTO was beyond belief! Thanks to all who made it happen, and I'm sorry I had to bail so early for another appointment. So many nice Porsches there today!

Too bad the owner mentioned something about "good investment" and makes me doubt his passion for the car altogether but I might be wrong.

Are you referring to the owner of the 250? I'd say Greg is pretty passionate about his cars. He races all of them, none of his cars are garage queens no matter what the price tag is, that in itself is respectable. But seeing how there is only 33 250 GTO's ever built, I'd also say thats a good investment.

Yesterday we were visited by a Redmond Police officer who said they received a complaint of three cars speeding on 520 on their way to E@RTC. I found out who was involved and they claimed that some old guy in a PT cruiser was blocking the left lane at 50 intentionally and they shot around him when they had a gap. Regardless, I've got to warn everyone that you absolutely MUST be on your best behavior coming to and from E@RTC or we will have to cancel the entire event. This means that you're just going to have to put up with slow drivers on 520. PLEASE remember that your behavior represents all exotics. You're the guy that cements the reputation of owners every time you go anywhere. Call it a tax on cool cars if you will.

If someone's blocking the left lane intentionally that's a form of road rage and since blocking the passing lane is illegal you should call the cops. I've got WSP on speed dial.

Yeah, you couldn't be any more wrong. He's an encyclopedia of knowledge and his cars have really cool history (which I'm guessing is something he looks for in his "investments") and he's more than willing to share it with other enthusiasts. Also, there's the fact that he drives his cars on the road and racetracks while others treat their "pedestrian" exotics as garage queens. He gains nothing by bringing his multiple figure museum pieces to these gatherings so you really shouldn't be making these kind of assumptions and be more grateful for the opportunity to see these masterpieces.

You're second assumption is more accurate, you are completely wrong.

It is an unbelievable treat to live near an owner willing to share cars like that Ferrari 250 GTO (or Enzo) with our group. I literally had to pinch myself since I was so excited to see that car, and the photos that I have sent to my car buddies have them all unbelievably jealous that I was able to see such an incredible car in person.

We're all lucky to have folks like him in our vicinity and I'm incredibly grateful for it. I was joking around with some co-workers about how "you never know what is going to show up on any given Saturday" and this was absolutely proof of that. Just awesome!
